FAITH. RECOVERY. A NEW BEGINNING.

Help Put Hope
in Their Hands

Help someone believe change is possible—and that God has not given up on them.

Why I wrote 40 Winters

For forty years, I lived in addiction and made choices that hurt me and the people I loved. I know what it feels like to be incarcerated. I also know that some prisons have no bars. Addiction, shame, regret, and hopelessness can hold a person captive wherever they live.

I wrote 40 Winters: A Journey to Extraordinary Living to reach people who are still there.

Through my story, I want them to see that their past does not have to determine the rest of their lives. There is forgiveness. There is a way forward. There is a God who loves them and calls them home.

I believe this is how God wants to use my life: to reach men and women who need hope and help them take that first step toward Him.

My goal is to place 40 Winters into the hands of as many incarcerated men and women as possible, at no cost to them. I also want it to reach people outside prison who are struggling and wondering whether their lives can ever change.

I cannot do this alone. I am inviting churches, Celebrate Recovery groups, individuals, and organizations to help make these books available.

A book can open a conversation. A testimony can help someone recognize themselves in another person’s story. And God can use that moment to begin something new.

Help put hope in someone’s hands. Help someone take a step toward home.

“There is no limit to what God can do in a person’s life.”

A growing vision:
Fishing with Jesus

I am preparing to establish Fishing with Jesus as a nonprofit ministry to help carry this mission forward: reaching people with the hope of Jesus Christ and helping them move toward recovery, community, and a new beginning.

One of the first efforts I want to build is providing 40 Winters to incarcerated men and women at no cost to them. While that organization is being formed, I welcome conversations with people interested in providing books or exploring future ministry partnerships.

Let’s take the next step together.

Tell me about your church, Celebrate Recovery group, organization, or the people you hope to reach. We can discuss a practical way to help.
